Work out your daily use, then divide by the hours you are happy to run the watermaker. That gives you the output to aim for.
Check your system voltage, battery capacity and charging. Larger pumps draw more current. Outpost is 24V as standard, with 12V and 48V as special orders.
Measure where the pump, filters, membrane and panel will go, including service access. A 2540 membrane vessel is 1,200 mm long, about 500 mm longer than a 2521 (695 mm).
Compact is the only model sized for typical 4×4 and caravan set-ups. Explorer suits large touring rigs with strong battery systems, Expedition suits purpose-built expedition vehicles only, and Outpost is for boats and fixed sites.
